Hello. I am Tim. A child of the 1980s, a teen and young adult of the 1990s. I was born in 1973, and am a member of Generation X.
I have a lot of opinions - especially regarding music. I carry my music snob card with pride. I am not, however, particularly highbrow in my music taste, and I'm not here to pass judgement (unless you try to tell me how I don't GET Lady Gaga, or why Lana Del Rey deserves my respect). And I don't care how many Coldplay import singles you have, or bootleg Pink Floyd albums.
Basically, these are MY opinions. I was born and bred on music. I love those old American Top 40 broadcasts from the 1970s-1980s that play on easy listening stations on Sundays. Casey Kasem and I are sort of kindred spirits.
My opinions are here for you to share, validate and/or attempt to invalidate. Music is fun, but also very serious. It's a reflection of our times, and a piece of our past.
And, as Casey himself would say: "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars".
